Why Tint Your Car? The Top 5 Reasons
Car tinting is usually seen as an add-on feature that is only needed for personal preferences. However, there are many additional benefits to this product.
1. Safer Driving
Driving with the sun directly in your eyes can be dangerous! Car window tint controls the light pulverizes your eyes and prevents glare from all sources.
2. Privacy
Having the peace of mind knowing that you can be in your car without having the occasional nosy on looker review you and your valuables. Just like the saying goes "Out of site, out of mind" no one will be able to casually examine what items you have in your vehicle whether tools or electronics.
3. Upholstery Protection
The heat and direct sunlight can destroy your upholstery in just a few short years, but did you know this is highly preventable? Window film keeps your cars interior from getting hot enough to fade, crack, or even dry out leather. This benefit also carries on by protecting direct sunlight rays from damaging your skin which can also cause skin cancer over a prolonged period of exposure. Reduce harmful UV rays by up to 99% by installing quality tint for your car.
4. Temperature Control
With any shade of tint film you can reduce the heat exhaust that has built up in your vehicle while sitting in the parking lot. Never have to endure becoming sweaty while sitting in an over heated seat during warmer months.
5. Shatter Proofing
Tint helps to keep your car’s window from shattering upon impact from an object or in the event of a break in. This can be helpful come clean up or being sprayed by shattering glass upon a car accident.

How dark can window tint be in Connecticut?
Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In the state of Connecticut tint laws apply as followed:
Cars:
Must be 35% shade on the side "door" windows for CT. The rear window, with the defroster lines, is allowed to be as dark as you desire. If the rear quarter (small windows) are on the body of the car then the same rules apply as the rear most windshield. If the quarter windows are connected with the rear door, (as the door opens the small windows go with it) then they too must be of legal shade (35% or lighter).
SUV/Truck/Van/Wagon:
Must be 35% on the two front doors only. The rear doors and cargo section can be as dark as you want.
Windshields:
No windshields on any vehicle can be tinted in CT. You can add only a tint Sun Brow Strip along the top of the windshield no lower than the inscribed "AS1" logo located around six inches down from the top and off to the sides of the windshield.

A Tinter's Thought
Like an artist's brush upon a canvas bare,
Tinted films, with precision, share,
A tale of privacy and respite,
Shielding eyes from prying sight.
Oh, window tinting, a whispered spell,
That transforms glass to a secret shell,
A sanctuary of solace and peace,
As worries and troubles find release.
Through darkened glass, a glimpse we steal,
Of a world where secrets are revealed,
Where shadows dance and stories unfold,
In hues of mystery, untold.
In mid day, the sun's fierce blaze,
Is softly muted, in tinted haze,
Yet still, the light, with gentle grace,
Filters through, a tender embrace.
At night, the city's lights aglow,
Are dimmed, subdued, in a tranquil show,
The starlit sky, a lullaby's call,
Through tinted windows, softly falls.
Window tinting, an art profound,
Where privacy and beauty are bound,
A dance of light, a subtle play,
That colors life, in its own special way.
So let us celebrate this craft divine,
That transforms glass to a sacred shrine,
And in the tinted windows' glow,
Find peace and solace, as we go.
